Plugin that enables UPnP Video Playback on the Apple TV

What is it ?

A UPnP Video Player for AppleTV G1, software version 3.0.2
It plays the video codecs installed on your AppleTV, Install Perian to add video codec support
It automatically finds any UPnP device on your LAN
It support Video Playback for UPnP MediaServer:1 devices
It is build using the Open Source UPnP library upnpx

iMediaShare for iPhone (this is a pretty cool one; when used with MediaCloud it allows you to stream video's from an iPhone over WiFi straight to your TV)

Installation :

This plugin in ONLY for the AppleTV 1st Generation, software version 3.0.2 (the silver one),
don't try to install or use it on AppleTV Generation 2 (the black one)

1. Install SSH on your AppleTV
The easy way to do this is to follow the instructions at http://code.google.com/p/atvusb-creator
2. Download the latest MediaCloud v3 plugin:
- MediaCloud 3.0.3 (3 september 2011); bugfix - possible memory leak + processor load fix
- MediaCloud 3.0.2 (18 July 2011); fix for Windows Media Sharing
- MediaCloud 3.0.1 (2 July 2011); Initial Version
3. Unzip the .zip file
4. SSH the the 'MediaCloud.frappliance' plugin to your AppleTV at:
/System/Library/CoreServices/Finder.app/Contents/PlugIns/
5. Restart Finder.app
kill `ps awwx | grep [F]inder | awk '{print $1}'`

After installation the "PlugIns" directory on your AppleTV should look like this:
